The Authenticity of 1Cor. 14:34
There is a lot of disagreement and ignorance as to the ministry of women in the Body of Christ as set out in 1Cor. 11:3-10; 14:34.
In general, the modern woman has emerged with an off-putting desire to prove to everyone, including to God that they are equal to man. This may be because over the past centuries men have exploited women as the weaker sex. Any person with an objective and sober mind can see that a woman is totally different than a man.
Even so, the inconclusive conclusions of some Bible scholars based on both Biblical hermeneutics and exegesis suggest that 1Cor. 14:34 is not authentic, and should not be in the Bible. This has strengthened the delusional mindset amongst Christian women that a woman is equal to a man.
Some suggest that the Apostle Paul did not write 1Cor. 14:34. While others contend that 1Cor. 14:34 is the Apostle Paul quoting a question by the Corinthians asking about conduct in the Church. These suggestions display a willingness to disregard the fact that God is watchful over His Word to accurately inspire it, and also to present it to us, and to perform it unto His elect (Jer. 1:12; 2Tim. 3:16).
I do not believe that any Bible scholar sets out to deliberately distort the Word of God. There certainly are some Bible Scholars who deliver exemplary work when translating and interpreting the original Biblical texts.
However, some Bible scholars admit their doubt in the original Biblical texts. Some also display a willingness to change the Scriptures to fit in with their interpretations. This is not surprising, as their interpretations are mostly based on an intellectual knowledge. Intellectual knowledge is based on private interpretation. Private interpretation is void of the knowledge of the Glory of God in Jesus Christ.
The Apostle Peter says in 2Pet. 1:20, 21, “Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.”
Intellectual Knowledge versus the Knowledge of the Glory of God
The Apostle Paul says in 1Cor. 2:7, 8, “But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory: Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.” Our Lord Jesus Christ is the Lord of the Glory of God.
God reveals His hidden wisdom through the knowledge of the Glory of God in Jesus Christ (2Cor. 4:6). Because of their lack of the knowledge of the Glory of God in Jesus Christ, the princes of this world misunderstood the Scriptures and the Power of God (Hos. 4:6; Mark 12:24; 2Pet. 3:16). Moreover, because of their lack of knowledge of the Glory of God in Christ Jesus, they also crucified Christ.
With all the debate about the authenticity of 1 Cor. 14:34 we must be careful not to latch onto inconclusive speculation. I believe that 1Cor. 14:34 is authentic.
Knowledge of the Glory of God as your Basis
When you study the Bible with the Knowledge of the Glory of God as your basis, you will find that the Bible is not a book of contradictions. You will also find that the Message of the Glory of God in the Face of Jesus Christ is not based on intellectual interpretation. No matter how academically strong the basis for any Biblical interpretation may be.
The Church of God at Corinth knew the Glory of God because they were all baptized in the Holy Spirit. Hence, they understood what the Apostle Paul was writing.
All Scripture, says the Apostle Paul, “… is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.” (2Tim. 3:16, 17). To me, this also means that it is within the power of the Almighty God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ to provide us with unambiguous and accurate written instructions and guidance as to His will for our lives.
Your Anointed Role in the Body of Christ
Each of us has our anointed place in the Body of Christ. I will always admire the academic and vocational capabilities, as well as the personal intellect of a woman. A woman displays some inherent characteristics that a man can never have. A man also displays some inherent characteristics that a woman can never have.
I have a daughter, and I would not want her to be victimized and prejudiced against because she is female. I completely abhor the physical, mental and emotional atrocities some men commit against women, and some women against men.
There are many women who surpass some men in common sense, and also far outclass some men in their respective vocations. However, I have learned that there is a distinct difference between the role of a man and the role of a woman in the Body of Christ.
When a woman defies her anointed role in the Body of Christ, she rejects (whether intentionally or not) the wisdom and purpose of God for her life in Christ Jesus. The same applies to a man.
Worship in a New Dispensation
The worship ceremony of the House of Israel unto their God, Jehovah, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, is different than the worship service of our Lord Jesus Christ by the members of the Body of Christ, His Church. This is simply because the religious worship service of the Congregation of Israel is based on the sacrifice of animals to restore the elect of God unto the Light of Eternal Life in the Glory of God.
The Congregation of the Body of Christ, on the other hand, has been redeemed by the sacrifice of the Lamb of God, Jesus Christ, and not by a sacrificial lamb from here on earth (Heb. 9:11, 12, 13, 14).
Moreover, God the Father required blood as a ransom for delivering the souls of His elect from the power of Satan’s veil of death (Ps. 9:12). The life of a living being is in the blood thereof (Gen. 9:4; Lev. 17:11, 14). Your soul is that life which God says is in the blood (Gen. 9:4, 5; Lev. 17:11, 14).
Thus, when our Lord Jesus Christ shed His blood for you and me, He sacrificed His own Life and Soul for us (Matt. 20:28; Rev. 5:9). Hence, we are free to enter the Presence of God with His Light of Life in the Holy Spirit of the Glory of God (Heb. 10:19, 20).
The Face of God and the Face of Jesus Christ
Anyone who seeks the Face of God needs to know that the Face of God is now found in the Face of Jesus Christ. That is because God reconciled the world unto Himself through His Son Jesus Christ (2Cor. 5:19).
God gave His Glory and all dominion in heaven and on earth, as well as under the earth, to His Son Jesus Christ (Dan. 7:13, 14). Our Lord Jesus Christ also does according to His will with Satan. He stripped the devil of the power of death, and the Light of Life, and then darkened his kingdom (Dan. 4:35; Col. 2:15; Rev. 16:10).
Therefore, the ministry of the dispensation of the Old Testament should be used as a guideline, and not as a model for the ministry of the Holy Spirit in Jesus Christ unto the Body of Christ.
The Glory of God and the Law of Moses
The Glory of God that was with the ministry of the Law of Moses now resides with the ministry of the Holy Spirit of our resurrected Lord Jesus Christ (2Cor. 3:7, 8, 9, 17). You will not find Eternal Life with the Light of Christ in the Law of Moses.
In 2Cor. 1:20 (EMTV) the Apostle Paul says, “For all the promises of God in Him are “Yes,” and in Him “Amen,” to the glory of God through us.”
The promises of God are not fulfilled unto us through the name of Jehovah, or Buddha, or Mohamed, or Hare Krishna, or Baal, or whatever name of a god there may be here on earth.
Whatever promise of deliverance and blessing ever uttered by God is now unconditionally fulfilled unto believers in Jesus Christ. This is done in the Glory of God by the Holy Spirit in the Name of Jesus Christ (Phil. 4:19).
We are Freed from the Wrath of God in Jesus Christ
Moses and Aaron did not know Christ as crucified for their transgressions and resurrected for their justification (Rom. 4:25). Hence, they were not allowed to enter the Promised Land (Num. 20:12, 24; Deut. 3:23, 24, 25, 26).
For it is written, “…as I have sworn that the waters of Noah should no more go over the earth; so have I sworn that I would not be wroth with thee, nor rebuke thee. For the mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed; but my kindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall the covenant of my peace be removed, saith the LORD that hath mercy on thee.” (Isa. 54:9, 10; Rom. 5:9).
Also, in Prov. 18:10 (ASV) we read, “The name of Jehovah is a strong tower; the righteous runneth into it, and is safe.” However, in Acts 4:12 we learn that “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.”
Therefore, to those who believe in the Name of Jesus Christ for their salvation from all the onslaughts of Satan, this promise now reads, “The Name of Jesus Christ is a strong tower; the righteous runs into it and is safe.”
Why the Head Covering?
The ministry of the Law of Moses is different from the ministry of the Holy Spirit in Jesus Christ. In the ministry of the Law of Moses the Jewish head covering in the form of the Yarmulke (Kippah) and Tallit is worn by Jewish men to serve as a devotion that God is always above and in their midst.
However, in the ministry of the Holy Spirit, the men of the Body of Christ are not ordained to wear a head covering when they pray or prophesy. The head of the man in Christ Jesus should be unveiled. This is a token of devotion that our Lord Jesus Christ has set him free from the veil of death.
This is also man’s acknowledgement that our Lord Jesus Christ restored him to the Light of the Glory of God. By the Blood of the Lamb of God, we are free to enter through the veil of death and into the Holy of Holies (Heb. 10:19).
The Patriarchal Hierarchy of God
Some may reject the patriarchal hierarchy of God. In the dispensation of the Old Testament, God may simply be found as a figurative Father figure. For this reason, the terms “God the Father” may be unacceptable to the atheist, and feminists, as well as those who wish to be justified under the Law of Moses.
In the dispensation of the New Testament, God is definitely the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. The apostle John teaches in 1 John. 5:9: “If we receive the testimony of men, the testimony of God is greater, because it is the testimony of God which he testified concerning his Son.”
For the Christian, the Gospel of the Glory of God in Jesus Christ is indeed the Testimony of God concerning His Son Jesus Christ.
1Joh. 5:10, 11, the apostle John continues: “He who believes in the Son of God has the testimony in himself. He who does not believe God made him a liar because he did not believe the testimony God testified about his Son. And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life, and that life is in his Son. “
The patriarchal hierarchy of God is not an oppressive system of victimization. Anyone who studies the Bible objectively will have to admit that the Bible is primarily directed at the man.
This is because the man was the first being created in the image of God with a soul and the life of God in him (Gen. 2:7). No other creature with the life of God in it was created in the image of God. The Image of God is a Spiritual Image – for God is a Spirit (John 4:24). The Image of God is the Holy Spirit in the Glory of God.
The image of the beast is also a spirit. However, the image of the beast manifests in the spiritual form of animals and insects, including in the form of human beings. It is these spiritual forms of animals and humans that you see in your usual dreams and visions.
The Glory of God and the Glory of the Man
Man reproduces the creative seed of God, and the woman gives birth to it. Hence, man is the glory (honour) of God, and the woman the glory of the man (1Cor. 11:7). Eve violated this order of the Godhead in Gen. 3:1-7 when she usurped authority over her man by doing the very thing God forbade her husband to do – to communicate and fellowship with the devil.
Because of her evil desire for the works of the devil Eve plunged the whole of God’s creation into the power of Satan’s destruction and death. Hence, we find that it was not the man that was deceived, but the woman (1Tim. 2:14). This spiritual delusion still rests on every woman and man. For, man partook in that evil desire.
To escape this spiritual deception, the woman in Christ has to recede to her place behind her man in the Godhead. For this reason, a woman must wear a token of her submission to the will of God for her life in the Body of Christ whenever she prays or prophesies. For that token of a head covering is a sign unto the Angel of God that the woman is in subjection to the will of God for her life in Christ.
1Cor. 11:10 reads, “For this cause ought the woman to have power on her head because of the angels.” The word “power” in 1Cor. 11:10 refers to the head covering of a woman.
We have angels ministering unto us (Heb. 1:14). These Angels excel in strength. They fulfil God’s instructions about you and me in obedience to the will of God and the Voice of His Word (Ps. 103:20, 21). God instructs his angels to guide and protect you in all your ways (Ps. 91:10, 11, 12).
As God’s Angels minister unto us, they see that you honour the Word of God and Christ, and they will fulfil the Word of God unto you (2Chron. 16:9; Ps. 103:20; Zech. 4:10; Col. 3:16). When we do not honour the Word of God and Christ that is written in the Bible, we give the spirit of error a place in our lives (1John 4:6; 2Cor. 11:14; 2Thess. 2:11, 12).
The Power of the Woman’s Head Covering
What 1Cor. 11:10 also tells us is that the head covering of the woman in Christ empowers her to enter into the Holy of Holies. When she comes before God with her head covering she acknowledges to God and His Angels that she does not want to stand in the same judgement of spiritual deception as Eve.
Even so, we are not called to worship and fellowship with angels, but with the Holy Spirit of our resurrected Lord Jesus Christ (2Cor. 13:14). Just like the Holy Spirit, the Angels of God invariably appear in the Light of the Glory of God in your dreams and visions (Matt. 16:27; 25:31; Mark 8:38; Luke 9:26).
We are told that in the day of judgement we will judge angels (1Cor. 6:3). We will judge angels as to whether they ministered unto us in the Light of the Glory of God, or in the light of darkness in our dreams and visions. For the appearance of the devil and his angels change from darkness into light in your dreams and visions (2Cor. 11:14). The appearance of any spirit, including the Holy Spirit is either in a dream or in a vision.
Before the fulfilment of Rev. 12:7, 8, 9, 10; 16:10 Satan dwelt and appeared in the Light of the Glory of God and would deceive the elect of God at will when he appeared in their dreams and visions.
Not a 24/7 Requirement
1Cor. 11:4 does not mean that the man cannot wear a head covering at all. But, whenever he prays or prophesies, then he should not cover his head. This is as a token of acknowledgement that Christ has torn Satan’s veil of death over his heart in two. Thus, Christ opened the way for him to enter into the Holy of Holies.
Likewise, 1Cor. 11:5 does not mean that a woman should wear a head covering 24/7. It simply means that when she aspires to enter into the Presence of the Holy Spirit of our Lord Jesus Christ through pray or prophesy, then she should cover her head. This is a token of her acknowledgement of God’s will and anointing for her place in the Godhead. In the Godhead, the man is the image and glory of God and the woman is the glory of the man (1Cor. 11:7).
The Veil in the Jewish Temple
The veil that hangs in the Jewish Temple is a symbol of the veil of death that hangs over the heart of every person in this world (Isa. 25:7). The day when our Lord Jesus Christ redeemed us with His Blood on the cross, he destroyed Satan’s veil of death over our hearts (Matt. 27:51; Heb. 10:19, 20).
Scripture is quite clear that God did not forsake Israel, the apple of His eye (Zech. 2:8; Rom. 11:1, 2, 26). But Israel, like everybody else, has also been called to salvation through Jesus Christ, the Messiah, and not to salvation through the Law of Moses.
And, the plight of Israel today should serve as a warning to us that no matter how strong and great the love of God is towards us, if we do not dwell in the Light of the Glory of God in Jesus Christ our lives will be calamitous and our end disastrous (Luke 13:1, 2, 3, 4, 5).
The Honourable Role of a Woman
The role of a woman in the Body of Christ is quite distinctive and honourable. However, a person who sets out to worship our Lord Jesus Christ without the knowledge of the Glory of Jesus Christ may find most of the Scriptures in the Bible controversial and contradictory, and maybe offensive.
Biblical guidelines for the woman’s ministry in the Body of Christ aim to restore a woman to the highly noble and honourable role she occupied in the Presence of the Glory of God before the fall of Adam and Eve.
Hence, if a woman can understand her role in the Godhead she will not only be free from any inferiority. She will also be humbled with an anointed humility that is free from pretence and any personal effort. For, her knowledge of salvation will be based on the knowledge of the Glory of God in the Holy Spirit of Jesus Christ, the Son of God.
A woman’s anointing is to give birth to the next generation of her man (1Tim. 2:15; 5:14). This is her man’s honour, or glory, as the Apostle Paul puts it in 1Cor. 11:7.
Some Biblical guidelines
1Cor. 14:34, 35
“Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience, as also saith the law. And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church.”
It is impossible for anybody not to talk about his/her salvation in Christ Jesus. A woman may certainly testify to her salvation in Christ in the Church. The word “shame” refers to a spiritual indecorum – that is, a violation of Spiritual etiquette. The Holy Spirit is not a spirit of disorder.
The word “speak” in 1Cor. 14:35 is from the Greek word laleō, which means to harangue. In this context, it means to preach and/or to teach. Hence, 1Cor. 14:35 is in line with 1Tim. 2:12. The apostle Paul says, “But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.” The “authority” referred to in 1Tim. 2:12 is the authority in the church, and not the authority in the relationship between a husband and wife.
Moreover, when we look at the definition of prophecy inspired by the Holy Spirit, there are extremely few women and men who accurately fulfil the role of a prophet or prophetess according to the Knowledge of the Gospel of the Glory of Jesus Christ.
The Interpretation of Dreams and Visions
Having dreams and visions, and the ability to interpret dreams and visions is not prophecy by the Holy Spirit. The interpretation of dreams and visions is the practice of witchcraft and divination. So also, is the ability to predict where a person is from, as well as to tell the past of a person (Acts 16:17, 18).
The Holy Spirit testifies about the Glory of our Lord Jesus Christ, and not about other people or things. Prophecy by the Holy Spirit is the testimony of the Glory of Jesus Christ (Rev. 19:10).
Imagine a sister standing up in Church on a Sunday morning, and then testifies that she had a dream about a baby being born. Then another member of the church would stand up and offer some interpretation that God is saying another member will be born into the congregation. Then you get to work the Monday morning and your Muslim or African colleague tells you he/she had a dream about a baby, and it means that they will win when they bet on the number nine or 17 on Fafi, or on the horse races, or whatever game they play. This is how the same dream by the same spirit of error are believed by people of different religions!
The dream and vision of the Holy Spirit is invariable. It always comes with the heavens opened, and in that fiery cloud of Heaven with the Light of the Glory of God (Ezek. 1:1; Matt. 3:16; 26:64; Mark 14:62; Act 7:55, 56; 10:11).
Can a woman be a prophet?
1Cor. 14:34 is not a contradiction of 1Cor. 11:5. A woman can certainly be a prophet. However, a prophet is not a teacher or a leader.
Teaching and leadership ministries in the Body of Christ have been assigned to the male servant. A woman bishop cannot be the husband of one wife, as the Biblical guideline for a bishop stipulates in 1Tim. 3:12.
Moreover, the words “As also saith the law” in 1Cor. 14:34 allude to the fact that according to the Law of Moses, the Levitical priesthood has been ordained for a male servant of God.
Also, the God of the Godhead in the assemblies of the saints is not a God of disorder (1Cor. 14:33).
A SPIRITUALLY PURE PASTOR PRODUCES A SPIRITUALLY PURE CHURCH
The Apostle Peter in 1Pet. 3:1, 2 says “Likewise, ye wives, be in subjection to your own husbands; that, if any obey not the word, they also may without the word be won by the conversation of the wives; While they behold your chaste conversation coupled with fear.” The word “fear” refers to a fear of God. However, you cannot fear God whom you cannot see, if you cannot respect your husband or your wife who you can see and share your body with.
The woman in Christ has been called to a ministry of quiet persuasion, in marriage as well as in the Church, through her pure and respectful demeanour. Quiet persuasion requires intense strength and self-sacrifice. Strength in Christ is found in being quietly confident about your faith and your salvation (Isa. 30:15). Being quietly confident and persuasive in faith is more powerful than words, and is precious in the Sight of God.#Strength in Christ is found in being quietly confident about your faith and your salvation (Isa. 30:15). The Purity of a Woman
A woman who has had sex with more than one man cannot truly respect any of them while they are both still alive – whether she is married to the one, or not. For such a woman is indelibly marked in her spirit by the character of more than one man. Therefore, she will be spiritually impure.
This spiritual impurity is not by an unclean spirit of Satan. It is the transfer of the spiritual character of the man to the woman (Mal. 2:15). This spiritual impurity generates insuperable distrust, jealousy and ultimately disrespect between couples, and is the number one reason for the high rate of family violence and divorce.
The very nature of a woman’s anointing is that of seed and character bearing, and not seed and character planting. When a woman has sex with a man she is spiritually stamped with his character until he dies. The process of Church planting includes keeping the Body of Christ spiritually pure.
Neither Jew nor Greek
One of the verses of Scripture used in the argument for female pastors in the Church (and also for same sex relationships) is Gal. 3:28. Gal. 3:28 reads, “There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.”
Gal. 3:28 emphasizes a spiritual fact and not a physical reality. Gal. 3:28 does not pertain to this life here on earth. We are spiritually one in Christ. In Matt. 22:30 we can learn that “…in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven.”
However, here on earth we do marry and have children in the physical. We remain male and female in the physical. We remain Jew and Greek in the physical. Yet, while we may keep our cultural and racial and sexual status in the physical, we see each other according to the spirit (2Cor. 5:16). Therefore, any form of racial or sexual bias against anybody is sin against the Holy Spirit of our resurrected Lord Jesus Christ.
The Physical Jew and the Spiritual Jew
We become spiritual Jews through the spiritual circumcision of Christ. The circumcision of Christ comprises the baptism by submersion in water and the baptism of the Holy Spirit (Tit. 3:5). The baptism of the Holy Spirit is also known as the circumcision of Christ (Rom. 2:28, 29; Col. 2:11), and also as Receiving the Holy Spirit.
Once you are baptized with the Holy Spirit you will then be able to prophesy in the context of the baptism of the Holy Spirit. This is to testify of the Glory of God which is in Jesus Christ (Rev. 19:10). Prophecy in the context of the Gospel of the Glory of the Holy Spirit of Jesus Christ is not to interpret dreams and visions, or to predict some unknown event or secret about someone.
The Testimony of Jesus Christ
The testimony of Jesus Christ is the spirit of prophecy, says Rev. 19:10. And that testimony is about the Glory of Jesus Christ. This is also what the believers testified to in Acts 2:4, 5, 6, 7.
Acts 2:7, 8, 9, 10, 11 also lists the various languages (Tongues) the Holy Spirit used to testify about the Glory of God in Jesus Christ. So that those present could hear about the Light of the Glory of God with its cloud of Heaven. The cloud of Heaven is not a cloud from our earth and universe. Nor does it look like any of our clouds. The Cloud of Heaven is an infolding cloud that looks like fire, with the glow of burning coals and the brightness of the rainbow about it.
Incidentally, there is no other prophet or spiritual leader who can ever claim to own the Glory of God, to rule by the Glory of God, and to appear in the Glory of God. Also, no other prophet can claim to rule over Satan and his power of destruction and death.
Secrets of the Heart
The “secrets of the heart made manifest” as mentioned in 1Cor. 14:25 are the instinctive and erroneous belief that we have in our usual dreams and visions. Our usual dreams and visions contain the lights of the veil of death (Isa. 25:7 and 2Cor. 3:15, 16).
Our usual dreams and visions which are not in the Light of the Glory of God is that sin of iniquity which so easily beset us (Heb. 12:1). Our usual dreams and visions are also called “the secrets of men” that God shall judge by our Lord Jesus Christ (Rom. 2:16).
This is what our Lord Jesus Christ also teaches about His Judgement, “And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God (John 3:19, 20, 21). Faith in your usual dream and visions are the works according to which you will be judged in the Day of the Lord (1Thess. 5:2; 2Pet. 3:10; Rev. 20:12).
I have yet to find or hear about a female pastor who has this testimony of the Light of Eternal Life in the Glory of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of our resurrected Lord Jesus Christ (2Cor. 3:17).
The Light of Your Testimony
The light of darkness from Satan’s veil of death consists of three types of light: The sun and its light; the moon and its light and, any man-made light like the light of a candle, or a lamp, or a fire, or electric light. Our usual dreams and visions are illuminated by these lights of daylight, or nightlight, or artificial light.
Satan will also appear and shine in your heart as the sun or the moon. This is why our Lord Jesus Christ warns in Luke 11:35, “Take heed therefore that the light which is in thee be not darkness.” The Light of the Glory of God does not contain the light of the sun or the moon or a candle (Rev. 21:23; 22:5 ). A candle depicts any man-made light.
On the other hand, God is light, and in him is no darkness at all (1John 1:5). Therefore, whatever God wants to show you in a dream or a vision will always appear in the Light of the Glory of God. The Light of the Glory of God in Jesus Christ invariably always appears with the heavens opened. (See Ezek. 1:1; Matt. 3:16; Acts 7:56; 10:11).
Priscilla and Aquila
Acts 18:24-, 25, 26
In Acts 18:24, 25, 26 we find Apollos who was eloquent, and mighty in the Scriptures, and also fervent in spirit. However, Apollos had no knowledge of the Glory of the Holy Spirit in Jesus Christ.
Hence, Priscilla and her husband Aquila took him away from the Temple. They explained to him the way of God more accurately in the privacy of their home.
Priscilla was present as an assistant to her husband, and not as a deaconess or a pastor of the Church.
THE SPIRITS OF JEZEBEL AND JANNES AND JAMBRES
We are talking about your Eternal Life in the Light of the Glory of Jesus Christ. Any woman who disregards 1Cor. 14:34 and 1Cor. 11:5 makes herself guilty of the ministry of the spirit of Jezebel in Rev. 2:20.
Any prophet or prophetess who teaches dreams and visions and the interpretation thereof is guilty of the spirit of divination and miracles of Jannes and Jambres (Ex. 7:11, 12; 2Tim. 3:8). For the testimony of our Lord Jesus Christ is the spirit of prophecy (Rev. 19:10). And the testimony of Jesus Christ is that the Light of the Glory of God is now in the Holy Spirit of our Lord Jesus Christ.
The ministry of the Holy Spirit includes dreams and visions. However, the dream and vision of the Holy Spirit of Jesus Christ are in the Light of the Glory of God. And, the Holy Spirit unvaryingly comes with the heavens opened (2Cor. 3:7, 8, 9).
The spirit of the prophet is under the control of the prophet, and not the other way around (1Cor. 14:32). The spirits of Jezebel and Jannes and Jambres will control you and cut your life short.
Some married prophetesses and deaconesses and female pastors deny their husbands the Godly prerogative in bed for years on end. This they do under the guise of loving the lord with all their heart.
Disregard for the Will of God
The Holy Spirit will present you with the Written Word of God on a “take it or leave it” basis. The Holy Spirit always entreats: Behold I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hears my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me (Rev. 3:20).
The spirit of Jezebel is the same spirit of Eve – eager to be spiritually knowledgeable and active. Yet, they remained ignorantly indifferent to the written Will of God, and without regard for the difference in the anointing of a man and a woman.
Eve’s disregard for her husband’s anointed role as second to Christ in the Godhead resulted in all of God’s creation being cast away from the Light of Eternal Life in the Presence of the Glory of God.
Jezebel’s recalcitrance against the ordinances of God resulted in the early death of her and her husband, Ahab, including all of their male children (1King 21; 2Kings 9). Jezebel ultimately died a shameful death, as prophesied in 2Kings 9:10, and fulfilled in 2Kings 9:33, 35, 36, 37.
When a woman respects the Word of God and fulfils her anointing in the Body of Christ according to the Will of God, she will be free from any inferiority, any pretence, any spiritual delusion, and also free from the need for excessive sexual gratification to feel complete and loved.
God bless and guide you.
